We not only need to know you, but also the working environment, how the space is used, an in-depth understanding, and your long term goals. Our success is born from attention to detail and trust.
WE BELIEVE THAT STRONG CORE VALUES AND MORALS ARE ESSENTIAL TO ANY RELATIONSHIP.
AN EXCELENT DESIGN SHOULD BE SYMPATHETIC TO THE FUNCTION, FORM. QUALITY, ESTHETICS, SURROUNDS AND INERT NEEDS OF THE CLIENT.
Based on the Biophilia theory by Edward O. Wilson, he describes it as “innately emotional affiliation of human’s beings to other living organisms”. Biophilic design recognises the inherent human need for nature together with sustainable and universal design strategies to create environments that truly enhance life. Wilson argues that Biophilia is innate and therefore part of our genetic heritage and evolved human nature, in short a part of our biological make up. Biophilia is an emotional response that can be an end in itself, feeling a sense of pleasure and well-being, or it can stimulate emotions that motivate behaviours, interest motivates exploration.
Whilst many of us are unaware of this connection, or rather, simply have come to accept the uncomfortable of being dis-connected, we are subconsciously drawn to elements which man once sourced as our “basic human needs”. If we imagine for a moment the sound of moving water, birds and other wild life, the sun dancing through the trees and bouncing of the lush green vegetation constantly moving it’s shadow and direction, whilst we feel a gentle warm breeze on our face and the varied scents of our surroundings, we can at first hand feel the connection.
It is possible to stimulate a similar response in the built environment at home, work place, hospital, school in fact any environment Research has repeatedly shown how stress levels, along with aliments associated with it, and blood pressure are reduced. Productivity as well as our ability to learn, heal and produce a sense of well-being are increased by making sometimes simple adjustments to our daily environment Biophilic design elements can be utilized in the interior, exterior, architectural and surrounding space design of our everyday environment.
