The client wanted to transform an outdated bathroom into a more functional, comfortable, and relaxing space. The existing layout included a dated jetted tub and a compact 36-inch square shower, neither of which suited the client’s daily needs.
The goal was to create a bathroom that worked well during busy morning routines while also feeling calm and restorative at the end of the day.
The layout was redesigned to make better use of the available space and improve the overall flow of the room. By removing the rarely used jetted tub and the small existing shower, we were able to create room for a new five-foot custom shower, offering greater comfort and ease of use.
A freestanding soaker tub was added to maintain the option of bathing while giving the room a more open, spacious feel. Custom cabinetry was also incorporated, including a new vanity and a bespoke wall storage unit, providing practical storage while creating a cohesive, tailored look.
The material palette was selected to feel warm, natural, and timeless. Large-format stone-look tile was used throughout the shower area, paired with a pebble mosaic shower floor and vertical accent detail. Soft sage-green cabinetry, warm wood-look flooring, polished metal fixtures, and a light countertop with subtle veining complete the room.
The finished bathroom is a warm, functional, and custom-designed retreat. The new layout offers improved storage, better circulation, and a much more comfortable bathing and showering experience.
Natural textures, soft colour, and traditional detailing create a space that feels calm and inviting while still being practical for everyday use. The result is a thoughtfully designed bathroom that balances daily function with a sense of relaxation and quiet luxury.
