Original Brief:

As an extension of the remodel and modernization of the Mayor Magrath Drive Travelodge, Ales & Tales Bar and Lounge, the clients expressed that they wanted to address the hotel’s bar area. The project’s overall aims were to accommodate guests staying at the hotel and attract clientele from outside the establishment. Moving forward, the client expressed that they would like to appeal to a greater audience with a focus on business luncheons and relaxed dining, as well as still providing the existing facilities, such as a VLT area and pool tournaments, to their loyal patrons.  

Solution:

The overall style of the bar was redesigned to create an elegantly modern bar and restaurant /lounge. Changes to the floor plan allowed us to provide the client with a gentle separation from a formal dining area and a slightly more relaxed social area. Clean lines to the bar area and furniture harmoniously married with luxury finishes resulted in a sleek and exceptionally sophisticated look and feel. Backlit Corian to the front and back bar, along with ambient perimeter lighting, allows the client to manipulate the mood with changing colour LED lighting.
